The mission of this conference is to improve the safety and effectiveness of rescue and recovery personnel.  Water-related incidents are on the rise and public safety personnel are far too often not properly prepared to conduct safe and effective operations. Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death to children, and a common cause of adult accidental death. Hour-per-hour of on scene work, water operations may claim more public safety personnel lives than almost any other type of operations. In most every case, poor training, wrong or lack of equipment, and poor risk / benefit anaylsis were the cause.  It is time to make a change, and this conference and courses are the starting point.

The Hotel is just off I-65 and only thirty minutes from Indianapolis Airport.
Room rate is $89.00 per night. The hotel has a special rate of $67.00 per night if you are staying four nights or more. These rates are single or double occupancy.  All hotel guest recieve a complimentary continental breakfast for each night of stay.  The cut-off date for this reduced rate is March 23rd.
